Happy Birthday D!
Today is D's 39th birthday....so below is a virtual present for him:
First, we'd take the train into NYC, where we'd have reservations for the weekend at a hotel. (We're going to assume we have someone who'd watch C for this particular weekend).
We'd head to some old favorite places:

Where we'd have pitchers of these (Harp for me, thanks!):

After spending far too much time there, we'd head down to:

And we'd end the night up here:

We'd probably need several days to recover, but it might be worth it!

Thanks. Can we really go someday...even though we'll feel really old?
We won't feel really old (except for the hangover part of the equation) - we'd be at Dublin House in the afternoon with the old guys who sit at the bar there, and at Tap a Keg there's no way we'd be the oldest. I wonder if Otter and Cub are still around there? And the low talker?
Sounds like a great time! Happy Bday to D.
After Dear Hubby's 20th highschool reunion, a group of us decided to go to some of our old college haunts. I thought we'd be the oldest fogeys there, but nope, not by a long shot. Plus I think I recognized a couple of folks from "back in the day". I wouldn't worry about feeling old, if I were you.
