Autumn in New England

Not the best pictures (taken from our back deck) but the colors have been so pretty this fall:

gorgeous. Even though I have lived on the east coast for 10 years now, I still am shocked when Fall comes around!

I hate the fall. There, I said. A CT Yankee hates the fall. It just screams to me that winter is coming. And I hate winter.
Saw C's pics on D's site...gosh, she is beautiful.

The photos are beautiful. That's one thing I miss since moving back to the deep south from the Wash., DC area (besides my mother, of course) - the foliage.

Our magnolias, oaks, and pines do not turn pretty colors. This summer, I did plant a Bradford pear, which is one of the few trees whose leaves turn red. Mine haven't though. Perhaps it's still too warm. I MISS AUTUMN!

I hope you're recovering from your wicked cold.
